Hey everyone!
I've been thinking lately about how cool it would be to know more people who genuinely enjoy building things, sharing ideas, and jus...

Hey Akash! Welcome to DEV and glad to meet you!
The plan for me is to create a DEVengers org that is open for everyone (though haven't got the time to set that up yet). Otherwise, I would recommend commenting on other people's post! It's how I met great people on this platform!!
In other news, really into gaming. Trying to get myself a PC in this market lol.
Mainly I have been working on a fun project that I will show later on DEV. Not sure when, but your the second person to know about this.
Hope your journey goes well Akash!
Hey Francis! Really appreciate the warm welcome! The DEVengers idea sounds awesome haha. I'd definitely be interested in something like that!
And now you've got me curious about your secret project 😂 What kind of games are you into, by the way? Hope you manage to get that PC soon!
Thanks for responding so quickly!
Mainly games on my switch, but have been playing single-player games more often. One recently is Deltarune Chapter 5 but trying to play some games I wanted to play like Helldivers 2 and such. What about you?
Haha, Deltarune and Helldivers 2 are two completely different vibes 😂 I've been spending a lot of my free time messing around with AI and coding projects lately, so gaming's taken a back seat. But Helldivers 2 looks like a blast! Is that the first game you're planning to get when you finally build your PC?
That's the dream! Hopefully getting it by the end of this year. What kind of projects specifically?
Also, I ask a lot to a bunch of new people, what brings you to dev.to?
Haha, fingers crossed you get that PC before the end of the year! 😂
I've been messing around with AI agents, Python automation, and little web apps. I love taking random ideas and seeing if I can actually make them work.
As for DEV, I came here to share ideas, learn from other developers, and hopefully get to know some cool people along the way. Coding's a lot more fun when you've got people to exchange ideas with.
You seem like a fun person to chat with, Francis! Would you mind if I sent you a message sometime? I'd love to hear more about that mystery project of yours too! 😄
I have a childhood friend/grade school schoolmate/bandmate who's a Tech guy and 1 vibe coder who's a wealth manager. I am ok with these two.
The 'fun little project' question seems easier to answer when the first session has an ending: one hour, one tiny thing that works, and no expectation of becoming cofounders afterward. Since you mention Python and random experiments, a text-only game or a deliberately silly CLI could give people something to tinker with together. Keeping that first exchange in the public thread also lets quieter people join without sharing contact details. What would you pick for a project small enough to finish in one sitting?
Hey DEV Community! 👋
There’s a lot of standard, off-the-shelf stuff out there, but lately I’ve been more interested in pushing into areas that people haven’t really figured out yet—specifically around subliminal cognitive systems.
I’ve been deep into building out systems like the SCI engine, dealing with the real-world side of cognitive interfaces and timing. It’s wild engineering territory because there isn't a neat rulebook or a standard library for a lot of it; you just have to figure out what works as you go.
Even crazier, I'm doing almost all of this development, writing, and testing directly on my phone. When you're experimenting with weird, uncharted tech without a traditional setup, it forces you to keep things raw and focused.
Anyone else here working on unconventional concepts or pushing into weird engineering spaces that don't have a manual yet?
Also—side note: if anyone out there is dealing with annoying AI bloat, watermarks, or text artifacts getting in the way of what you're trying to read or process, hit me up in the comments or DM me. I've been working on a custom reader solution that cuts straight through that stuff, and it might be exactly what you need.
