Building ProposalMind: An AI-Powered RFP Proposal Workspace
**
We built ProposalMind to make the process of responding to RFPs (Request for Proposals) easier and less time-consuming. RFPs can contain a lot of information such as requirements, deliverables, timelines, evaluation criteria, and risks. Going through all of this manually and turning it into a professional proposal can take a lot of time.
ProposalMind helps simplify this process by taking an RFP and analyzing the important information from it. It identifies key requirements, deliverables, evaluation signals, risks, and other useful details. The system then uses AI to generate a structured proposal based on the analyzed information, while allowing the user to review, edit, or regenerate individual sections.
We built ProposalMind using React and TypeScript for the frontend and Node.js with Express for the backend. We use REST APIs with OpenAPI and Zod for structured communication, Groq for AI-powered generation, and Hindsight as an optional memory layer for bringing relevant historical context into the workflow.
The main idea behind ProposalMind is simple: AI helps with the time-consuming parts, but the human stays in control. Instead of being just an AI text generator, ProposalMind provides an end-to-end workflow — from understanding the RFP to generating, reviewing, editing, and finalizing a professional proposal.
