I use my Windows PC as a desktop and gaming on the TV. The annoying bit is switching between the two setups.
With the release of the Steam Machine, I really liked the idea of a console-like experience that uses my PC and TV to play games on my Sofa.
So I built some scripts to make switching between the two easier.

The idea is simple: switch your PC from your normal monitor setup to your TV gaming setup, then launch straight into Xbox mode or Steam Big Picture. I personally use Macros on my Razer keyboard to Switch between the two modes.
It's a small quality-of-life improvement that makes it easy to use regularly.
A few ways I can see this being useful
- Keyboard macros: Bind it to a macro on a programmable keyboard and switch setups with a single button press.
- A dedicated gaming shortcut: Have a shortcut that gets your PC ready for TV gaming without manually changing everything.
- A living room gaming PC: Make a regular Windows PC feel a little more like a console when you want to play on the sofa.
- Steam Big Picture: Get straight into a controller-friendly gaming experience instead of navigating the Windows desktop with a controller.
Building with Cursor
I used Cursor to help build it, which was a good example of using AI-assisted development to turn a personal annoyance into something practical.
Give it a try
I built this primarily for my own setup, but I figured other people might find it useful too.
If you've got a Windows gaming PC connected to both a monitor and a TV, or you want to make your PC gaming setup feel more console-like, take a look.
