Shipping a project is exciting — but before releasing it, there are always a few things that can be easy to miss.
Is the configuration correct?
Are there risky permissions?
Is the Android project properly configured?
Are important documentation files missing?
Are there release-related issues hiding inside the repository?
That's why I built ReleaseReady. 🔍
🚀 What is ReleaseReady?
ReleaseReady is a GitHub repository release-readiness scanner designed to help developers identify potential problems before shipping their projects.
👉 Try ReleaseReady:
https://release-ready-eta.vercel.app
The idea is simple:
GitHub Repository → Scan → Findings → Fix → Release with Confidence
🔎 What does it check?
ReleaseReady can inspect a repository for different release-related areas, including:
- 🔐 Security & configuration checks
- 📱 Android project configuration
- 📦 Dependencies
- ⚙️ GitHub Actions
- 📄 README and documentation
- 🔑 Potential secret/configuration issues
- 🛡️ Manifest and permission-related settings
- 🚀 Release-readiness indicators
Findings are organized into:
PASS • WARNING • FAIL • INFO
This makes it easier to understand what is already ready and what may need attention.
📊 Readiness Score
ReleaseReady also provides a readiness score based on the checks performed.
The goal isn't simply to chase a 100% score.
Instead, the score is meant to give developers a quick overview of areas that may deserve attention before release.
🔗 GitHub Integration
You can connect your GitHub account and select a repository for scanning.
The scanner is designed around read-only repository analysis — the goal is to inspect your project, not modify your source code.
💡 Why I built it
As an independent developer, I know how easy it is to focus on building features while overlooking small release details.
I wanted a simple tool that could answer one question:
"Is my repository ready for release?"
ReleaseReady is my attempt to make that process faster and easier.
🛠️ Built With
ReleaseReady is built with modern web technologies including:
- React
- TypeScript
- Vite
- Node.js
- Express
- GitHub API
- Vercel
🚧 What's Next?
This is an early version, and I have more ideas planned:
- More repository checks
- Better Android release analysis
- Scan history
- Improved reports
- GitHub PR checks
- More detailed fix suggestions
- Additional project-type support
I'd also love to hear what developers would like ReleaseReady to check next.
🙌 Try It
If you're working on a project that you're getting ready to release, give ReleaseReady a try:

If you find something that could be improved, I'd really appreciate your feedback.
Built with curiosity, learning, and a lot of debugging. 🚀
