Okay, you asked for the machine.
The problem isโฆ Iโm not sure where the machine ends anymore. ๐
My daily driver is:
๐ป MacBook Pro 16โ
๐ง CPU: Apple M4 Pro โ 14 cores (10P + 4E)
๐ฎ GPU: 20-core M4 Pro GPU
๐งฎ RAM: 24 GB unified memory
๐พ Storage: 512 GB SSD
๐ฅ๏ธ Display: 16โ Liquid Retina XDR + external 1080p
๐ง OS: macOS 26.6
๐ Battery: 92% health, 264 cycles
๐ฏ Main use: Coding, system architecture, infrastructure/security work, and managing everything below
โญ My rating: 9/10 โ minus one point because I should have bought more than 24 GB RAM. ๐
But honestly, the MacBook is basically a very expensive SSH terminal.
Behind it:
โ๏ธ VPS fleet
VPS1 โ 4 vCPU Intel / 7 GB RAM / 72 GB
Ubuntu 26.04 โ monitoring & operations tools
VPS2 โ 6 vCPU Intel / 11 GB RAM / 96 GB

VPS3 โ 18 vCPU AMD EPYC / 94 GB RAM / 678 GB
Ubuntu 24.04 โ main application box: remote-management platform, blogs, ERP applications, etc.
VPS4 โ 4 vCPU Intel / 7 GB RAM / 442 GB
Ubuntu 24.04 โ centralized log collection/archive
Disk usage: 86% ๐ฌ
VPS5 โ 6 vCPU Intel / 11 GB RAM / 96 GB
Ubuntu 26.04 โ customer group hosting
VPS6 โ 2 vCPU Intel / 3 GB RAM / 38 GB
Ubuntu 26.04 โ customer web/e-commerce
VPS7 โ 2 vCPU Intel / 3 GB RAM / 38 GB
Ubuntu 26.04 โ customer panel/web
And then thereโs the on-prem side. ๐
๐ข Hyper-V / Datacenter
HV1 โ Lenovo ThinkSystem SR650 V3
2ร Xeon Gold 5418Y โ 48C/96T total
512 GB RAM
HV2 โ Lenovo ThinkSystem SR650 V3
2ร Xeon Gold 5418Y โ 48C/96T total
512 GB RAM
Together:
โ๏ธ 2-node Hyper-V failover cluster
๐ง 96 physical cores
๐งฎ 1 TB RAM
๐ฅ๏ธ ~20 VMs
Running ERP, SQL Server, file services, mail, RDS, PBX and other workloads.
Storage:
๐พ Lenovo ThinkSystem DE4000F
All-flash SAN, Fibre Channel multipath
2ร8 TB CSV + witness
๐ฆ Synology DS1821+
Ryzen V1500B, 10GbE, NVMe cache
Backup / DR target
And because putting everything inside the cluster would be boring:
DC2 โ HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10
Xeon Silver 4208 / 32 GB RAM
Standalone domain controller โ deliberately outside the cluster.
๐ ๏ธ Development infrastructure
gitsrv
48 vCPU / 128 GB RAM / 1.5 TB
Self-hosted CI with 24 isolated runner slots.
Paid CI minutes: 0. ๐
Helpdesk
6-core Xeon Gold / 11 GB RAM
Ticketing and support infrastructure.
And finally:
๐ค DGX Spark
NVIDIA GB10 Grace Blackwell
128 GB unified memory
Used for local LLM workloads and the internal knowledge base.
So technically my answer to:
โWhat machine do you use every day?โ
is still the MacBook Pro.
But most days Iโm sitting in front of 24 GB of RAM while remotely managing well over a terabyte of it. ๐
I deliberately prefer self-hosting where it makes technical sense. Partly because I want control, but mostly because I enjoy understanding the entire stack โ application, database, network, virtualization, storage, CI, monitoring and recovery.
After doing this long enough, I stopped thinking of the laptop itself as the workstation.
The laptop is just the cockpit. The infrastructure behind it is the machine.
Now go ahead.
Rate it out of 10. ๐
Now it started humble... M4 Mac... Then half a datacenter follows... So when's the DGX getting a partner? They do have that nice little expansion cable, so you can daisy chain them?
Hahaha, this is exactly the problem. ๐
Iโm afraid if I buy a second one, Iโll say:
โWell, the expansion cable already exists. It would be wasteful not to use it.โ
Then six months later Iโll somehow be explaining why the house needs three-phase power and dedicated cooling. โ ๏ธ๐
So for now the DGX stays single.
For now. ๐
bro you reply to my reply which I gave you I am waiting for it
by the way ATLOCK V5 100% BUILT
from .py to .exe converted too.
tested too.
I would love if you will be the top 5 first user of ATLOCK v5 when it will be publicly launched( I will launch it when I will cross 1000downloads, currently at 905)
by the way congrats, till now no one has beaten your machines( especially because of SERVERS โ ๏ธ)
Hahaha okay bro, you got me โ I owe you that reply. ๐
And congrats on getting ATLOCK V5 fully built, converted to an EXE and tested. Going from building something to actually shipping and testing it is the part that matters. ๐ค
905 downloads is already pretty damn close to 1000, so I donโt think youโll be waiting too long. ๐
When V5 launches, send it my way. Iโd be happy to be one of the first five users and give it a proper test.
Just one warning though: if you give something called ATLOCK to a security guy with a small accidental datacenter, youโre basically asking for trouble. โ ๏ธ๐
And thank you about the machines.
Apparently the servers have now become the final boss of DEV. ๐
I'd rather insulted, annoyed by my BRO than to a stranger.
and that " MY BRO" is mustafa ERBAY.
so I've no trouble in fact I will be happy to be annoyed from you.

Because I copied the hard drive from my old pc and didn't want to pay. There is a whole story behind it hahahaha. And I bought the extra ram before the prices spiked. I got super lucky on timing. I dont even use the overlooking on my ram. Im saving it for when I actually need it. Future proofing, if you will.

you're really cool dude and the pic you provided of your PC it is looking like a wow, salute bro.
when I will be adult, I will make my own PC cabinet exactly look like yours.
You are doing absolutely amazing for someone so young. I got a late start and am much older. No reason to worry, you have plenty of time to build an amazing machine. By the time your my age, you will be hovering around in your personal drone-bot chair. Haha. Seriously, your doing great. Learning how to communicate and share early is a super important skill. my laptop and mobile and your POCO c55 is crying after reading the specs of him.
The POCO C55 might be crying reading those specs, but the code is flying. ๐ฏ
Hardware is just a constraint. Creativity, willpower, and a solid architecture (shoutout to the CTO for keeping the edge-proxy locked) are the real specs. 100/10 output, always.
yeah mine HP 240 G9 is also delivering 100/10 output
we both lacks in numbers not in output

HP 240 G9 + POCO C55 = The most dangerous low-spec, high-output duo in the game. ๐๐ฅ

Haha thanks.Itโs just accumulated stepโbyโstep over time. Each machine takes its own job, not for showing off. Curious what score you will give to this threeโlaptop setup ๐
Machine 1: 9.9/10 (-0.1 because you're using 5200 and 5600Mhz ram means the 5600Mhz will automatically set to 5200Mhz limit by the way not a issue but I am just finding excuses to cut marks LOL)
Machine 2: 9.5/10 (-0.5 because you are using single 32gb, you should 2*16 it doubles memory bandwidth) still this one is also a excuse LOL ๐

4 machines, 4 beast, but I noticed you've great specs, showing your high budget still limited ram speed?
8.5/10(-1.5 because of RAM SPEED mainly rest is absolute beast)
4 machines you've got you're literally cooking harder your works.
All 4 run 24/7, that's how I manage 12 separate projects at once. Ram is just too expensive at the moment
oh, I See.
yeah currently RAM prices are same like gold.(rising and rising)
I would recommend you to upgrade RAM when RAM prices will drop down.
by the way just curious to know while online image editing tool do you use primarily?
Dont really use any online image tools, generally speaking, I either let Gemini generate an image, or I use other tools in python for manipulations.
Yeah, plan is to at some point upgrade and expand. Replace the 5500 with a 5900x, then add 2 more systems, with 9900x and 48gb of ram each. Then upgrade the Asus to 32gb and then I should be solid for a while, given I'm switching my workflows over to my own IDE, which I'm adding multi-node support to, so those extra PCs dont need to be manually monitored, I can use 1 interface to control all the systems and distribute work across them all.
Sorry I do not care too much for common hardwer details. My personal favourite is a MacBoom Pro M1 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD one of the last model with touch bar. Touch bar is fare versatile compared functions key line. Mac other element is perfect for any kind of work: small size, do not need mouse : touch pad is super fine. MacOS is technically close to linux so easy handle by terminal like all other linux machines. Mainly use browsing, development : like a mordorjs, I also won a copilot vibe code competition here. So my score of this laptop is 10/10
The company laptop is way different. I am forced to work on a 6 year old DELL laptop with Windows 11 ( hate), same amount RAM and SSD, many keyboard labels is worn, overall condition is battle hardened. The only code which save my ass is: wsl install ubuntu. Plus learn to use windows multi desktop, one full screen size app on each one, give near same three finger gestures which is qorking so well at Mac. Battery time: 15min.
Score: 3/10
Phone: Samsung Galaxy A50 ... enogh for everything. I can play a same game as on my Mac: Raid Shadow Legend
This is my Huawei Mate 70 Pro ๐ฑ running HarmonyOS 7.0.

๐ฏ Main use: a lot of gaming ๐ฎ, observability work with Splunk and Dynatrace, and lately a lot of LLM testing ๐ค
The 14600KF was a deliberate choice. For the last few generations Intel has mostly been getting more performance by pushing more voltage, and everything above this chip hits thermal throttling under a stress test, even on water cooling. ๐ฅ So I stopped where the CPU is actually usable under stress.
The 96 GB is for VMware Workstation Pro. Sometimes I need more than one VM running at once, and I still want to work normally on the host while they do.
The 5070 Ti had the best price for performance when I bought it. That was the whole decision.

what you do with your machine like your work? I'm curious to know
Ha, thanks. I'm guessing the missing 0.3 is for the Windows :)
My day job is observability, mostly Splunk and lately Dynatrace. That's what the 96 GB is really for. I often need a few VMs up at once to rebuild an environment or try a config before it goes anywhere near production.
Lately a lot of my evenings go into LLMs. One of my last projects was about LLM translations. My wife wanted to read books that don't exist in Bulgarian, so I tested which models can actually translate fiction into Bulgarian. I wrote it up here if you're curious: dev.to/bozhidar_valchev/in-search-...

๐ฏ Main use: I use it for web development, then game dev on Godot. I also do 3d art on blender and games.
โญ Your own rating: I give it a 7 because I wanted a ThinkPad and I should have expanded the storage to 1TB
really budget friendly but beast performance laptop.
price to performance ratio is great.
8/10(-2% because of storage and RAM) ram can be 24gb or 32gb dual channel, and storage 1tb that's it you can increase rating by just upgrading ram and storage.
really you've used your mind and bought a perfect price to performance laptop.
in same budget better alternatives available too. but it is one of the beast in the segment(also you face problem in graphic heavy tasks? because integrated graphics you've and I want to know what that feels for AMD I've also integrated graphics but for intel not AMD just curious to know nothing else)
I've not noticed anything really, but I'd say my game feels a lot smoother compared to when I was using my old intel laptop. There was a lot of things that could have affected my experience with that laptop though, like it was using an HDD, so I don't have anything to compare with
I also connect it to a Lenovo ThinkVison Display Monitor for a larger screen

no problem at all, 24gb DDR3 is okay in 2026. 1080ti is enough for medium level GPU based tasks, windows 11 pro or home?
overall rating: 6/10(-4 because DDR3, storage capacity)
Bro, I think you have already write my specs.
HP 14s Intel Core i3 11th Gen 1115G4 - (8 GB/256 GB SSD/Windows 11 Home) 14s - dy2507TU Thin and Light Laptop (14 Inch, Natural Silver, 1.41 Kg, With MS Office)
I am using this from last 4 years.

Bro you should upgrade your laptop especially when you are Pursuing a degree. I would recommend you to at least buy a i3-13th gen cpu 16gb ram and 1tb storage laptop in Amazon during sale. It will help you a lot for now your current setup rating will be 4/10

โญ Your own rating: 9/10 โ flagship-level speed, a superb screen and battery life that easily lasts two days, for a mid-range price. Bonus points for OxygenOS: it takes its own path from stock Android and has solid privacy tools (Private Safe, hidden apps, fine-grained permission controls). The cameras are the weak spot: the ultrawide is mediocre, the macro lens is filler, and there's no telephoto.

Flagship mobile & macbook m1 โ๐ต
premium, 2 machines, more than enough really great.
7/10(-3 because oneplus 12R is now a little bit old or not little bit I would say it is now old flagship, and same thing applies to m1 still old doesn't mean bad, old is gold especially in your case because they might be old but flagship of their time)
My main working machine is a self-built Intel Windows system from 2014/2015. Still runs perfectly fine (64GB RAM, several SSD at together around 3TB, I only "upgraded" it to a 4070ti for my CUDA work. Why no Linux? Because, I need to get stuff done, I don't have time to "fix it yourself, it's open source, you moron"-Linux :-P
My "kink" is more into input devices. No 3d work without a 3D mouse. No 2d work without a slate. No video work without a fast dial. Mouse and keyboard need replacement every now and then and MUST WORK PERIOD. I use two mouse inputs (left/right hand have to be able to do everything at roughly the same reliability), one is a touchpad, the other an old MX Master model.
I do have a few development systems with more RAM, 5090 GPU etc., even Linux. But I rarely use them for day-to-day work. The "ancient" thing is still doing everything I need at blazing performance, even compared to my best equipped Win11-work-horse.
Laptops and Tablets ... if I use those for real work, I usually log into my main system via remote desktop.
Could I change? Any day. It just has to work.
bro greatest of all time.
rating 8/10

You can comment this โ detailed enough for their challenge but still natural:
Apple ecosystem...
You've collected a great flagship ecosystem but as of 2026 that is kindaa old isn't? So rating will be 6/10, recommend you to upgrade to M4 later or iphone 17 can be a option if you are looking to upgrade your mobile
Iโm using a fairly modest setup too, so I like the idea of rating hardware based on the actual workload rather than just the specs. For development, web projects, AI tools, and automation, Iโd rather have a reliable machine that handles my daily workflow well than spend a lot on hardware I rarely push to its limits.
specs?
I am curious to know specs and rate it.
Show me yours, I show you mine.
read the post there you will see my machine specs
macbook air m1
Ryzen 9 5900x
16GB ram
4TB storage - 2TB SSD 2TB HDD
3060 12GB OC
2 monitors 165HZ and 180HZ
win 11 pro
Great!
rating: 8/10(-2% if you've single channel ram, also your ram is too low in front of your specs it should minimum 24gb and recommended 32gb)
it is ddr5 right
Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 14IRH8: 32 GB RAM, RTX 4050 6 GB, Linux Mint. Daily driver for backend dev and running the whole stack in Docker. No gaming on it, so the GPU is mostly along for the ride. Rate it! ๐
woah, your system โ ๏ธ your OS ๐จ
bro you should dual boot your system, Linux + Windows but yeah it's your choice I am just giving you suggestion.
also 32gb ram is dual channel or single channel? if single then make it 16+16.
and rest thing's are already sorted.
great no nonsense, nothing fancy you've actually got a the exact beast you need.
rating: 7.5/10(it can be 8 if you've dual channel ram, dual boot OS and storage you've not mentioned but if 1tb)
Your setup 10 out of 10.

Yes
what did you like the most in it?
